there are numerous moments in the episode that are among the most powerful Deadwood ever came up with.....Leviathan Smiles" is far from the worst episode of Deadwood or even the worst episode of season three....Deadwood , sometimes frustratingly for its fans, is often willing to just completely embrace this world of people beyond its main characters.....Despair has come to Deadwood in the face of what Hearst is capable of....In the end, "Leviathan Smiles" is good, especially for those terrific closing momen ... we realize that a Deadwood without Al is as good as dead.....E.B. and Richardson have been described as the series' most blatantly Shakespearean characters....New Money" isn't the best episode of Deadwood....The scenes where Cochran tries to remove the stone are so horrifying as to be indelible in the series' overall run....This episode also has one of the most beautiful shots of the series.... ... Deadwood" won multiple awards, including Emmys, a Peabody Award, and a Golden Globe and was massively critically acclaimed through its tragically short run. The three season sets of Deadwood were must-owns for TV fans and their collection into a complete series set with gorgeous packaging and two hours of must-see, new bonus features is even more so. ... I looked up the characters on the internet and it turns out that just about all of them were actual people in Deadwood during the time which made it even more of a thrill to watch them come to life on the television screen.
